**New Light Happenings**
Rev. Miller is asking all NLBC members to fast 6 hours per day (during waking hours) from Monday - January 9th thru the 2nd Sunday, February 12th.
MEN’S CHOIR REHEARSAL will be held on the 24th and 26th of January at 7:30PM. All men are encouraged to come out and sing.
All Sunday school teachers are asked to meet with Pastor Miller and Sunday School Superintendent Vickey Sims on Saturday, February 4th @ 11:30AM.
The 83rd Church Anniversary will be held on Sunday, February 12, 2012 during morning worship service. Each member is asked to give an anniversary gife of $100.00. You can start giving toward your anniversary gift today!
The Usher’s Anniversary will be held on Sunday, February 26th at 4PM. Rev. Dr. Louis W. McDowell of Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church will be the guest preacher.
Bloomfield Health Department will sponsor HEALTH SCREENINGS at NLBC on the 3rd Wednesday of each month (instead of Friday) beginning on January 18th. The new screening time is from 5:30pm to 6:30pm starting with Blood Pressure Screening.
The NLBC MISSIONARY MINISTRY is collecting PROM DRESSES for those less fortunate this year. If any young women of New Light have any dresses that they wish to donate - they need to be clean and on hangers to be submitted by the middle of February.
NLBC is sponsoring a FOOD DRIVE of non-perishable items each month to help build up the Food Banks of NJ. Each family is asked to bring in at least one can of food per month to help with this effort. Please remember to check for expired dates!
The Naomi Ruth Ministry invites you to join us in reading and discussing "The Bait of Satan" held on the 4th Monday at 7:30pm. Please bring a dish and come join us for a night of fellowship, worship and enlightenment. We hope to see all the Ladies there!
